1967 1968 Kaiser Jeep Panelwagon
Panel delivery wagon
What makes this so rare? The fact that it is the only model that has the super rare and highly desirable BARN DOORS in the back, not the typical tailgate.
For the Military fan, this has a military history as a audio visual vehicle on Fort Knox. Hence the paint color. I believe it went straight from the factory floor and into military service.
It was refurbished about 20 years ago. The original engine which is still in it, seized about 10 years ago(over heating) and has been inside storage ever since. The last year it has been outside under cover. It is a 4 X 4
The body is showing it's age and some bondo. There are repair spots along the body, but for 47 years old, it’s really solid. The interior is all original and in need of sprucing up.
This Jeep is a fantastic candidate for a full restoration, and would be a very unique addition to a jeep collection. These barn door, panel wagons are super super rare and unique. In the 16 years I’ve been collecting, I don’t think I’ve seen 5 for sale. The interior of this is in great shape, no tares, clean, no smells. If it wasn’t for the engine this could be a daily driver, with no embarrassment. Really is a super cool and unique jeep. I truly wish I could keep it and restore it myself, but priorities change.
*This vehicle has no title. When I purchased it, I received a certificate of origin or title, but have since lost it. I was unable to acquire a title /papers from the previous owner as I recently reached out to him. The previous owner from Indiana can’t be reached. With it's age however, I know it can be sold with just a bill of sale. It would be getting a bill of sale from the state of Maine. I successfully sold another 1968 Jeep recently with a bill of sale and everything worked out great.
